Nasi Padang

Nasi Padang Stall

Nasi Padang is Indonesian dish. A lot of Singaporean asked about the meaning of ‘nasi padang’, it literally means: Nasi is Rice; Padang is name of a town in Sumatra island. Thus, rice from Padang, something like Hainan Chicken Rice means Chicken Rice from Hainan (China). Anyway, one of the best nasi padang stall in Singapore is “Queen Street Nasi Padang”, you can find it in Fu Lou Shou Complex, near Bugis.

They offer variety of ‘peranakan’ food like stingray, fish nugget, otah, chicken. I would recommend try their chicken and otah, very delicious.
