Dear Roan Yong,
I have some question about knowledge sharing. That is “How should I do if some position in my company have no time to share their experience or knowledge on km website and This position have to use all knowledge in km website to answer all question from customer.” and last question is “How should I know that all sharing knowledge are best practise or it’s correct?”
Thanks for your help,
Naree
Hi Naree,
“No time to share” is a classic KM issue. The root-cause of this behavior is the employees don’t see the value of sharing knowledge. They would rather spend their time doing their work.
To address this issue, I suggest you talk to your senior management and get them to communicate the importance of knowledge sharing. The next step is to embed knowledge sharing as part of performance appraisal for every employee. Last but not least, publicly reward employees who share knowledge (by giving them certificate and recognition).
To validate the relevancy / currency of the knowledge (best practice), you can use social validation. Get the other employees to review / comment on the best practice article. It would be great if you can provide “like” button too (like that of Facebook).
Dear Roan,
I am interested in applying social network analysis in understanding the organization of healthcare for chronic conditions. Have no previous experience in SNA though. Would you be able to recommend professors from NTU that I may be able to contact to collaborate on this project?
Many thanks,
Jane
Dear Jane,
You may want to speak to Dr.Alton Chua from NTU. I first heard about SNA from him. Good luck!
